Integrations
Atom does not require third-party media integrations for its core project tools. Add only the services you want:
- OpenRouter unlocks image generation.
- Pexels lets Atom search and import stock images and video.
- ElevenLabs unlocks voice transcription with word timestamps.
You can leave any or all of these keys empty.
OpenRouter
Use this if you want Atom to generate images in chat.
Atom uses OpenRouter for textures, references, mood boards, sprites, and other visual assets.
- Go to openrouter.ai/keys.
- Create an API key.
- Open Atom → Settings → Integrations.
- Paste the key under OpenRouter API Key.
OpenRouter keys usually start with sk-or-.
Pexels
Use Pexels when you want Atom to search for stock images or video and import selected results into your project.
- Go to pexels.com/api.
- Create or copy an API key.
- Open Atom → Settings → Integrations.
- Paste the key under Stock media via Pexels.
When Atom asks for a key
If the agent tries to use one of these optional tools and the matching key is missing, Atom pauses that tool and shows a key prompt in the chat. Paste the key there or add it later in Settings → Integrations.
After the key is saved, Atom continues the request.
Storage and privacy
Keys are stored locally and encrypted in Atom settings.
For image generation, Atom sends the image prompt to OpenRouter. Stock searches and downloads go through Pexels. For transcription, Atom sends the selected audio file to ElevenLabs. Configuring a key alone does not send your chat history or project data to that service.
